Some driving forces affect the maneuvering of boats on the sea. Natural Factors, such as wind and wave, can be effective on the propulsion of boats as well as on people and various other weights on board. The inclination and trim in boats are precisely related to these effects. 

The way these effects are expressed is as follows;

So this term refers to the equilibrium in the fore and aft axis. The name given to the side of the boat due to the lack of necessary weight distribution is inclined. If the head of the boat is buried more in the water, it is referred to as the head trimmed, and the stern is the more trapped in the water. To understand this, the waterline of the boat should be checked. To understand this, large ships have blood numbers representing the depth of the fore and aft sides. The trim on the boats directly affects the performance of the boat and the rudder. Trim Adjustment on Transom Boats

Up Trim: This is the name given to the process of pulling the bow up and raising the head of the boat. Thus, the face of the boat is increased, but the boat may jump if too high speed is made.

Trim Adjustment on Outboard Boats

It is often not possible to change the propeller axis on inboard motorboats and specially built engines without propulsion systems. In such boats, trim adjustment is performed with trim palettes under the water section. Thus, as the boat gains speed, it is easier to change the position of the boat in the water as desired.

The inclination and trim adjustment of the boats can be corrected by changing the weights. Instead, it is best to bring the propellers to the correct level by the thrust angles.
